3. Properties
|

Caustic Soda is produced by electrolysis of industrial salt,
and its chemical nomenclature is Caustic Soda. Caustic soda solution is
colorless, odorless, and heavier than water. Its handling requires specific
care because it gives off excessive heat when diluted.
